The Ashes Caravan Park:

Your pitch is available from 12.30pm and must be vacated by 11.30am to allow for maintenance. You must check with the owner if you wish to stay longer eg. at weekends – which may be possible at quiet times. To guarantee a late departure, we suggest booking your pitch for an extra night. Last arrival time is 9.00pm.
Some pitches are slightly sloping due to the nature of the landscape and may require levelling blocks. Sorry, but we cannot guarantee a specific pitch which has been requested at the time of booking. This includes booking adjacent pitches which is not always possible. Payment of deposit assumes you agree with our terms & conditions. Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable unless 20 days notice is given. Any alterations to bookings must give at least 7 days notice prior to arrival, otherwise full payment for the original booking will be due. Payment is due on arrival. If your pitch is not taken up by 9pm on the day of arrival your booking is deemed cancelled and the pitch will be re-booked unless prior notice is given for any late arrival. However, we would appreciate being advised of your cancellation as a matter of courtesy. Unfortunately we are unable to give refunds should you decide to leave early for what ever reason, unless there is a breach of some obligation on our part which would justify cancellation. We recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance cover.
Dogs
All dogs are to be kept on leads and must not be allowed to foul the site. You may exercise your dog in the designated dog area. We also advise that you keep your dog on a lead whilst off site, especially during the lambing season (February – April).
Awning Pitches
Awning pitches have gravel hard standing requiring rock pegs. Awnings are permitted up to max. 2.8m wide with no additional annexes. Drive-away motorhome awnings are permitted up to max 2.8m wide only. Continental caravans using an awning must pitch ‘nose-in’ so the awning is on the UK side.

Visitor
For security reasons we ask you to inform the site owner/warden of any visitors and ask that you keep to a maximum of 4 at any time so as not to disturb others on site. Please remember it is strictly over 18’s only. Visitors are requested to park in the visitor parking area.
Disturbance
Please respect the quiet atmosphere on site. Take care that smoke from barbeques does not disturb your neighbour.
Hook-ups
16 amps of electricity provided to each pitch and is included in the price. Water and waste water facilities are also included and available at each pitch. THE MANAGEMENT are not responsible for any loss or damage to your property by theft or otherwise or for personal injury. This does not however, affect your rights if loss or damage or personal injury occurred through fault on our part. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the park immediately, without refund, those guests failing to abide by the rules and shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
Duvets, sheets, pillows and towels are not supplied and must be brought with you for your stay.
Please do not take wet or muddy clothing and footwear into the huts – A private, lockable outside shed is provided with space for drying and storage.
Smoking is not permitted inside the shepherd’s huts or sheds.
A hanging rail and hangers can be found in each hut – please do not hang towels or clothing from the curtain rail.
Please treat our shepherd’s huts with respect and leave as found.
Arrival / Departure
Your shepherd’s hut is available from 3.00pm and must be vacated by 11.00am to allow for cleaning and maintenance. You must check with the owner if you wish to stay longer – this is not guaranteed, but may be possible at quiet times.
We live on site, but if for any reason you anticipate arrival after 8.00pm, please make us aware.
Sorry, but we cannot guarantee a specific hut if requested. Deposits are required at the time of booking. A booking of up to two days requires payment in full, three days or more requires a 50% deposit. These are non-refundable unless 14 days notice is given. Any alterations to bookings must give at least 7 days notice prior to arrival, otherwise full payment for the original booking will be due. Payment of the remaining balance is due on arrival. Unfortunately we are unable to give partial refunds should you decide to leave early for any reason, unless there is a breach of some obligation on our part which would justify cancellation. We recommend that you take out your own holiday insurance cover.

Damages
Our shepherd’s huts have been beautifully handcrafted and furnished. The contents have been provided for your use whilst staying with us. Any damages must be reported and paid for.
